Getting the most out of your video shoot
Creating a professional video for your business can be- let’s face it- time-consuming and expensive. My goal is to maximize my filming time with my clients, to create multiple deliverables from a single video filming session. When you can bundle your recording sessions, your video production team will save time and expenses, leading to cost savings for the client. It also helps save money on the post-production. When I have a project with multiple final deliverables, I’m able to streamline my editing process by reducing the time I spend creating and organizing the edit files, reviewing and sorting all the footage only once, and by using branded templates for my client that I only have to create once, and can use across multiple videos.
Below are a few examples of projects where multiple final deliverables were created from a single filming session.
Madison Health Patient Testimonials
I worked with Madison Health to create these five patient testimonials and a video highlighting their employee of the year. We filmed all of these videos within about 3 hours, and once I edited the first video, I was able to use that project files as a template for editing the rest. You can see a lot of the same elements are used, the nametags, the logo stinger at the end of the video, and we used the same filming location. This gives a uniform and branded look across the videos, and makes them easily recognizable when shared on social media.
CME Federal Credit Union Promos
Each quarter, I work with CME Federal Credit Union to create a series of video promos highlighting their latest offerings to their members. The videos below represent 3 videos we filmed within about an hour, which I then added stock footage, music, and sound effects to to create the final video ads. Since we record these videos all together, it saves me time and expenses traveling to filming locations over multiple days, and let’s me bulk edit the videos which saves time as well.
Waterwood Retreats
Here are a great example of how you can get multiple video edits from filming an event. I filmed this retreat at Waterwood Resort hosted by JJ DiGeronimo and created 3 final videos highlighting the retreat. We filmed an overview video for Waterwood, a testimonial video for JJ, and a video focusing on the purpose of the retreats. The video footage was also used to create a video banner for JJ’s website. Getting video footage of your event is always a great way to maximize on cost savings and get multiple videos from one day of filming.
