Creating Video for Social Media

Social media is perhaps the best way to get your video content in front of your audience. The majority of the video projects I work on are intended for social media. There are a variety of types of videos you can create for social media, from product or event promos, to event recaps, to videos that let your audience get to know you better. Here are a few of my favorite social media videos I’ve worked on recently.

This video for CME Federal Credit Union serves as an ad for a 5.35% APY promotion they were running. It uses animated text, graphics, stock footage, and footage of CME’s employees to give information on their latest offer. It’s a great example of how a video can be used as an ad or commercial online to help drive sales.

This video for Kidney Donor Conversations takes a piece of a longer video to use as a teaser or trailer for social media. The full video is around 15 minutes in length, but KDC wanted something shorter they could share on social to promote the longer video and drive traffic to their website. This animated video provides a small amount of information that can draw viewers in and offers them a place to go to learn more.

This video was created for Kurgis & Associates law firm in Columbus Ohio. It highlights what makes the law firm unique and provides people with information on the services they provide. The purpose of this video is to run as an ad and commercial, but it would also make a great addition to their social media timeline.

This hype video created for Danville Local Schools was intended for their social media and YouTube channel. The video was released before a rival football game and was intended to instill a sense of school spirit in the students, faculty, and community. It also serves as a trailer of a longer video that is being created for the schools website. Although this video is very simple, the feedback from the school and small community was incredible, they loved the video and it was shared by dozens of people after its release. Just like Danville is a small school making a big impact, so did this video!

This video was created for Apple Valley Golf Course to be used as a Reel on Instagram. It is a drone video that is a flyover of their first hole. Graphics show the information about the hold including distance and any hazards. The purpose of the Reel is to give customers a peak at the course before arriving and to show off the condition of the course for people interested in booking a round.
