Project Feature - Girl Scouts

About a year ago, I had the opportunity to work with the Girl Scouts of Ohio’s Heartland to create some video content that would be used in their annual fundraiser. With the 2020 pandemic in full swing, they were moving to a virtual platform for their annual event, so they needed some fresh video content to help tell the story of the Girl Scouts and encourage engagement. We worked together to create this video to tell the story of the impact that the organization has had on the lives of girls and women. I also created a shorter version of this video repurposed for social media use.

After creating these videos for the fundraiser, I was contacted by the Girl Scouts to create some recruiting videos. This time, I worked with three Girl Scout councils located all over Ohio - Girl Scouts of Ohio’s Heartland, Girl Scouts of Western Ohio, and Girl Scouts of North East Ohio. This project was so much fun, I was able to have an entire day at a camp full of Girl Scouts and volunteers who were eager to tell me about their experience with Girl Scouts. We created two videos- one intended to encourage girls to join Girl Scouts, and another intended to encourage adults to volunteer with the organization.

With all the great video content and interviews I collected in the course of creating these two videos, I was also able to put together nine social media edits, each focusing on a different aspect of the Girl Scouts or volunteering experience.
